Daily Duties at Matthews International:
Reported directly to plant manager supervising Lean Manufacturing upgrading and implementation. Redesigned Set-Up department to accommodate studies of process flow and increased throughput. Spearheaded Green initiatives including installation of a more environmentally friendly air conditioning system. Learned on-the-job best practices in plant layout, process flow, time and motion studies. Trained staff in lean manufacturing principles. Utilized office and industrial equipment such as an electrical multimeter, ammeters, noise meters, light meters, fork and scissor lifts. Re-developed a pre-production department. Analyzed machine design, parts and tooling modifications for optimal ergonomics.
