Daily Duties at National Alliance To End Homelessness:

 Manage research, training, technical assistance, and special event projects relating to youth housing programs, models and service delivery utilizing positive youth development and culturally competent techniques.  Establish and maintain highly effective working relationships with U.S. Congressional members and staff, Federal agencies, and national, state, and local partner organizations.  Introduce and implement homeless youth federal policy agenda with emphasis on housing youth transitioning out of foster care, exiting juvenile corrections, or living on the streets.  Create federal legislative advocacy and educational initiatives specific to reauthorizing and increasing appropriations for relevant public policy.  Develop presentations for various speaking engagements - delivered over 50 presentations reaching 1,000 people.  Write policy briefs and other materials to advance sound policy adoption and implementation.  Conceptualize and introduce multi-media products highlighting issues related to youth homelessness for diverse audiences including audio conferences, webcasts, e-newsletters, publications and MS PowerPoint presentations.  Supervise five Fall, Spring and Summer Undergraduate and Masters level interns.
