Daily Duties at Major Services, Inc:

Created the new website of the Orleans Parish Criminal Sheriff’s Office (www.opcso.org). Monitored website performance daily for hack attempts. Worked with Windows Server 2003, IIS 6, PHP 5 and MySQL database. Maintained and configured the security settings for IIS 6, MySQL and PHP 5. Performed daily backups of the web server and MySQL databases. Installed and configured IIS 6, PHP 5 and MySQL database on remote disaster recovery web server for viewing of the website in the event of a domain switch due to a disaster/hurricane. Managed and updated the current Internet and Intranet websites. Used updated technologies to update and create graphic designs for the Orleans Parish Criminal Sheriff’s Office. Created, instructional documentations and PowerPoint presentations of policy and procedural instructions for technical staff and users of the Orleans Criminal Sheriff’s Office. Worked closely with the Sheriff and staff to assist with the creation of web and slide presentations as needed. Assisted with the setup of the new Interactive Voice Response System (IVR) and the Inmate Health Grant Survey Database. Assisted the helpdesk coordinator with helpdesk procedures and the IT technicians in resolving user related trouble task requests, when needed. Performed other tasks within a teamed environment, assisting team members when needed. Tools mostly used to perform job duties were: Adobe PhotoShop, Macromedia Flash 8, Dreamweaver, Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Safari browsers, FTP Utilities, AS/400 console, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), File Synchronization and Backup Utilities, IIS 6, MySQL 5, PHP 5 and other utilities as needed.
