Daily Duties at Capacity Web.Com:

I reported to the COO and President of CapacityWeb and was a key member of the senior executive management team with full responsibility for development and implementation of strategic sales plans, staffing and revenue generation, with accountability for a $1.5MM expense budget. CapacityWeb.com was a Business to Business, $6MM start up company specializing in the buying and selling of manufacturing capacity in the metals and plastics industries through the use of the Internet. CapacityWeb was a member of the Divine Interventures dot com incubator. Divine failed to receive further financing and CapacityWeb was forced out of business due to lack of funds. Products: CapacityWeb was an internet based exchange which allowed our clients to locate, engineer and bid on metal and plastic parts which required custom manufacturing. This process was conducted electronically, thereby significantly reducing the clients cost of acquisiton. Markets: CapacityWeb served the custom metals and plastics manufacturing marketplace. Clients consisted of major manufacturers and their Tier 1, 2 and 3 suppliers. Accomplishments:  Created North American strategic sales plan and built sales infrastructure.  Hired and managed 12 Direct outside sales persons, Director of Sales, Business Development Mgr. and 3 Inside sales persons.  Developed and implemented Channel sales strategy.  Quarterbacked customer acquisition effort. Grew customer base from 0 to 175 in 90 days.  Collaborated in the creation of all promotional marketing materials. (ie. brochures, multi-media CDs, Power Points, customer giveaways etc.)  Organized trade show participations and led effort to join trade organizations.
