Explanation: VS Arts (formerly VSA MS) is a statewide non-profit organization whose mission is the design and implementation of accessible arts programs for children, and adults with disabilities. Responsibilities included: Grantsmanship for VSA MS funds (on local, regional, state and national levels); Day-to-day coordination of VSA MS activities, serving more than 51,000 Mississippians with disabilities; Service as resource on disability law and liaison to Mississippi State Department of Education, K-12; Direction of fund raising efforts; Supervision of 2-3 salaried employees and 100+ volunteers throughout the state; Management of payroll for VSA MS staff and all financial needs; Implementation of Festival Coordinator training workshops statewide (training to include disability access, Department of Education guidelines, VSA MS guidelines); and Public awareness presentations throughout state.
