Responsibilities include: Supervisory responsibility for Office of Student Affairs staff; Management of Student Affairs budget to adhere with university standards and policies; Monitoring of legal issues of admissions and student affairs (non-discrimination, FERPA, training of admissions interviewers, appeals from unsuccessful applicants; student issues); Coordination and writing of all recruiting materials for the MSU-CVM; Coordination with College’s Director of Development of donor recruitment for College-specific awards and scholarships; Coordination of CVM Scholarships and Awards (oversee application/nomination process, oversee dissemination of scholarship/award funds, draft guidelines for new funding); Coordination of competitive admissions process through the national application service; Team instructor for Professional Development course, a leadership-development course required of all first-year DVM students; Advisor for student-driven Honor Court (issues of academic dishonesty, professionalism, curriculum)-[2001-2004]; Oversight for DVM student clubs and organizations, to include fiscal management and adherence to university policies and procedures; *Leader for ropes course and leadership activities for all first-year DVM students; * Coordination of and advisor for College’s Envoys (CVM’s student ambassadors); * Coordination and oversight of College’s faculty/student Mentor program; and * Coordination and oversight of College’s Big Sib student-to-student mentoring program. *Developed these programs into existence
