Daily Duties at Siemens Medical Solutions:
Project manager of various clinical, financial, modality and information technology based systems in the Health Services customer environments. A Snapshot of major accomlishments while at Siemens include: • Led the merger of two separate hospital systems into one integrated health system over a two year project, with approximately 50 implementation resources and a $3.0 + M budget. The merger involved major computing system and network integration, numerous application subsystems in the clinical, financial and modality areas (Laboratory, Radiology and Pharmacy) of the two hospitals. The merger work plan involved two complete phases and involved the conversion of the hospital financial system to a net new financial system. The implementation occurred on-time, under budget (an approximate 10% savings) and to the complete satisfaction of the users. • Introduced an internal process change on the use of Siemens Implementation Methodology work plans designed to simplify and streamline their use and at the same time increase their detail value to all users of these tools within Siemens and its customers. Siemens is estimating a $866 K cost reduction annually via this process improvement
