Daily Duties at Solectron Global Services:
Responsible for manufacturing / repair / reverse logistics employee relations, recruiting, payroll and benefits, and legal compliance. Multiple sites and service center providing customer support to Dell, Toshiba, IBM, and Compact. * Implemented automated absentee control program, managing change and reducing absenteeism by 20%. * Retained high tech customers by ensuring that programs were 100% staffed and always on time. * Drove HR initiatives to achieve ISO 9000 quality certification and secured $25-million customer. * Led 5-S team as part of 6-Sigma and Lean Manufacturing initiatives to improve quality by 30% to 70%. * Acted as key advisor to develop centralized HR service bureau while reducing staff expense by half. * Coordinated response team to defeat union organizing drive by four-to-one margin. * Saved up to $4.5 million by favorably resolving nine EEOC charges. * Led HR acquisition project team to convert former Raleigh, NC, IBM facility. Quality ratings over 98%. * Reason for Change: In the wake of the dot-com crash (2002-2003) the corporation enacted a series of global RIF’s. My position was one of many eliminated in a regional reorganization in July 2004
