Daily Duties at Eastern States Construction Service, Inc.:
Estimated fixed price bids for site work and heavy civil construction projects involving earthwork, paving, concrete including highway and railroad bridges, mechanical work and underground utilities. Negotiated and wrote contracts and change orders, prepared budgets and schedules, purchased materials, prepared invoices and ran progress meetings. Responsible for bottom line performance of projects and reported to the company owners. Notable large projects bid and managed include a toxic waste landfill for DuPont Company, two complex Northeast Corridor Improvement Projects for AMTRAK, an urban streetscape reconstruction, several large highway bridges and numerous residential subdivisions, industrial parks, shopping centers and large office building foundation projects.
