Daily Duties at Afton Central School:
Identified children and adults referred for speech and language therapy. Wrote clear, concise evaluation reports. Developed IEPs and ISPs that met each clients needs. Implemented rehabilitation programs that resulted in the dismissal from therapy of up to *% of my clients per year, and a reduction in the frequency of services for many others. Enabled clients to perform activities of daily living independently. Taught patients with severely delayed articulation and language skills how to use AC devices, such as Dynamo and PECS. Facilitated communication and social skills of students with autism spectrum disorders. Counseled teachers, parents, spouses, and other professionals and family members as to methods for implementing therapy programs in the classroom and at home Consulted regularly with occupational therapists, physical therapists, and other members of the rehabilitation team.
