Daily Duties at Sage:
Managed teams of requirement analysts, interaction designers, usability analysts, software engineers and quality assurance analysts across multiple departments. Managed new development and maintenance release projects for 5 commercial software product lines serving customers ranging from enterprise level organizations to initial start-ups. Staff included up to 50+ permanent staff members at all skill levels, as well as outsource staffing when required. * Successfully managed the development and delivery of three major web based software products in .Net, C#, ASP.Net, VB, and MS SQL Server. * Successfully managed the design, development, and delivery of a SaaS payroll product (Sage Payroll Service). * Managed delivery of several product updates delivered annually on each software product line. * Worked closely with executive management, customers, sales team members, product management, and support to develop product roadmaps and plans. * Implemented agile development methodologies resulting in increased productivity and higher customer satisfaction. * Implemented project management processes to track project status and resources at a detailed level which allowed product delivery timelines to be accurately predicted and effectively managed. * Implemented Quality assurance process improvements, including test automation, resulting in a significant reduction (75+ %) in reported problems with new software versions and substantially increased overall system quality while reducing QA staffing requirements. * Consistently received recognition from management and peers for ability to motivate staff members to meet or exceed team goals.
