Daily Duties at Cottman Transmission:
Established in 1962, Cottman Transmission is a franchise-driven automobile repair business, comprising of 380 units nationwide during the time of my ownership. Started a greenfield business in Parker, Colorado. Directly oversaw and initiated all aspects of franchise location development: demographic market analysis, site acquisition, lease negotiation, capital acquisition, site build-out, personnel hiring, training, business development and on-going business leadership. Key Achievements • Grew strong referral base of clients and achieved profitability after third month of operation. • Consistently achieved sales that placed my location in the top one-third of 380 franchises nationwide and generated at least $10,000 monthly profit after four months of operation • Achieved the highest average sales per repair out of 380 units nationwide after six months of operation while achieving high client satisfaction ratings • Assisted Cottman’s nationwide efforts in securing “Good Sam Club’s” national referral contract due to what was specifically identified as my location’s “highly ethical, professional treatment” of “secret shopper” clients.
What they like about Cottman Transmission:
Working in an organization that is technologically advanced, creative, and innovative is critical in your assessment of hiring companies. Less important to you are stability of the organization, the length of time an organization has been in business, and the business' plans for the future. You prefer a fast-moving company that will take risks to achieve its goals and objectives. The length of time the company has been in business is irrelevant. Maintaining status quo is unnecessary. You thrive on change, uncertainty and the upside of potential business risks, especially those associated with innovation. Stability for the long haul is not nearly as important as is working in an atmosphere that is charged with a sense of urgency and constant change.
