Daily Duties at Calpine The Geysers:

I was responsible for proper operation, maintenance, and support for a 110 Mega Watt Geothermal power plant. I was also responsible for proper electrical switching, synchronization, emergency shutdowns and procedures, and mechanical and electrical operation of the steam powered generator set. I managed all maintenance and repair operations pertaining to my plant. Secondary responsibility is to properly operate maintain and monitor an H2S gas abatement system. The Stretford system produces several hundred pounds of sulfur a day and runs completely separate from the power plant. EPA and County air quality regulation compliance was a primary responsibility of my position.
