I worked as a seasonal employee while I was obtaining two bachelors in college. Although I was on full scholarship for the first four years, I had to work, especially during the last three years when I was majoring in accounting. I worked at the client's office or the firm's office when I was able to do so and when needed. When at the office, my duties ran the gamut from training individuals on Windows applications or software to determining the flow of transactions for purposes of assessing risk and control objectives. I prepared analytical workpapers, tests of compliance, tested bank reconciliations, debt service payments, and the proper capitalization of capital assets. I also was emailed data and information from which I prepared audit workpapers or organized into a logical and standardized format. I had to consolidate financial statements and combine trial balances, and test adjusting entries for propriety.
