Daily Duties at Harris & Associates:
Cities and County of Marin, Construction Standards Update. CAD Technician. Harris is assisting the Marin Public Works Agency (MPWA) update their 1979 hand drafted Construction Standards. Knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil, the ability to support/develop standardization practices, trouble shooting, and provided mentoring/training to junior CAD professionals. The MPWA provided rough drafts of the standards in CADD, which was the starting point for the update. Mr. Armstrong checked and formatted over 50 standards and also prepared new standard drawings. layout of structural members (wide beams, channels, angles), for support of vessels, including pipe racks. Completed hundreds proposals and graphic presentations for numerous projects. Have field experience in detecting utilities for existing layouts. I can view CCTV tapes for Storm water and Sewer. I always look for the cutting edge in the industry.
