Daily Duties at Marine Attack Squadron 211:

-Staff Noncommissioned Officer in charge (supervisor) of a 30 personnel AV-8B Avionics Division responsible for the overall conduct and quality of avionics maintenance. -Responsible for the Marine's career progression, supervision and evaluation. -Serve as a Maintenance Controller, directing the maintenance efforts of all production work centers, to ensure the smooth flow of maintenance. -Certify aircraft safe-for-flight. -Coordinate with the Intermediate Maintenance Activity on all required maintenance at the component level. -Coordinate with the Supply Support Division in obtaining all aircraft parts needed to return the aircraft to mission capable status. -Coordinate with the operations department to ensure sufficient aircraft are available for flight operations. -Deployed with the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit to Afghanistan after 9/11. Served as the Maintenance Control Chief for the AV-8B detachment. -Awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal for superior performance duties as the AV-8B Maintenance Control Chief.
