Daily Duties at Du Page Convalescent Center:
•Identified and assessed residents’ needs and psychosocial behavior through observation, one-on-one meetings, and administration of Mini Mental State Examinations and Geriatric Depression Scales •Documented interactions with residents and diligently completed overdue required social service charting that included the resident’s admission assessments and social history. •Investigated and integrated research in the provision of support and stimulation for resident with traumatic brain injury •Cooperated with social service coordinators to problem solve and develop strategies for enhancing residents’ quality of care •Initiated and assisted in the beginning stages of incorporating behavioral strategies in modifying behavior of individual residents •Attended educational seminars and in-services on topics such as traumatic brain injury, restraints, guardianship, and minimum data sets
