Daily Duties at Ibm:
Provided engineering support for Research Triangle Park, NC campus which included converting leased line WAN to OC3 network, replacing IBM 6611 routers with Bay Networks routers, establishing DNS servers and IBM domain, installing IBM 3172 offload servers to support VM mainframe TCP/IP connectivity, and providing 37x5 FEP hardware and software support. Provided NCP maintenance for SNA subarea network and SNI interconnection to other IBM locations, VTAM definitions for FEP, 3x74 controllers, and subarea routing, and programming support of TCP/IP on VM mainframes. Supported Token Ring infrastructure and leased line installation, 3x74 installation and troubleshooting, 327x terminal installation, and System 370 printer and tape drive operations for IBM campus.
