Daily Duties at Verizon Business:

Consulted directly with customers to gather their network requirements. Put together MS Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, and Visio drawings to spell out physical and logical network design to meet customer's specific requirements. Built router, switch, and misc. network gear configurations in preparation for installation of equipment. Performed hardware implementation and WAN activation with field technicians and support personnel of major locations and some remote sites to ensure solid design. Took part with customer to bring up LAN interfaces and assist with application testing to ensure network performance met expectations. Provided management handoff to Operations and was available for network design questions as well as level 3-4 troubleshooting if needed. Took part in new technology research and product development activities when requested. Provided training to engineering team with design and implementation best practices when appropriate. Mentored newer team members on technology and process topics as required.
