Daily Duties at Cisco Systems Inc:

Major Contributions: • 2002 – 2006: Technical Lead for call control projects on MGX-8850 Cisco Voice Gateway. Led MGCP 1.5MR Project, and led PGW – MGCP – VXSM integration and performance analysis. Worked on MGCP features for Wire line Voice over IP. • Coordinated the porting and implementing team effort for third party vendor software. Led the porting of different releases of HSS (now Aricent) H.248 stack to the MGX-VXSM platform. This involved interfacing with HSS engineers on different time zones and coordinating different releases. • Led the interoperability and scalability testing of PGW (an in-house MGC) with the VXSM. This was a milestone operability effort resulting in analyzing how well the systems gel. Enabled the BU to sell into specific markets with the PGW as a soaked solution. • Provided call control leadership and cross functional glue for the multiple MGCP customer installations. Towards this end I also contributed to RFI and RFP documents which enabled product marketing to sell into new service provider markets (Deutsche Telekom, NTT and France Telecom) • Awarded 15 Cisco Achievement Program (CAP) awards for exceptional leadership and consistent teamwork. • 2001 – 2002: Implemented (on 5x00 Voice Gateway Platform) Voice Over IP features, over and writing 5x00 specific interface layers for H.323, RADIUS, SIP, MGCP, T.38/T.37 Fax Over IP, ISDN, CAS. Member of 5880 team on insuring End-To-End voice quality over Cisco router paths, focusing on 5x00. Worked on IUA backhaul project, and also insuring end-to-end delay of up speeding codec (G.711, G.729, clear-channel). • Initiated the practice of web based database to prioritize customer issues for the RABU access platform 5850. Although I was developing and debugging call control features, this was an initiative that I built to access current issues in the pipeline. It helped maintain a perspective on the priorities from a customer point of view.
