Daily Duties at Linn Energy Llc:
EXPERIENCE AS A PRODUCTION FOREMAN DOMINION E&P/LINN ENERGY, LLC KINGFISHER, OK PRODUCTION FOREMAN SEPT 2004-OCT 2009 Performed the following duties as a Production Foreman for Linn Energy: PERFORMING WORK OVER JOBS: -Research well files to have good understanding of all down hole equipment before performing repairs or enhancements. Research files to see what perforations are open, CIBP’s, PBTD, PKR’s, TAC’s, SN’s, XN’s, depth & size. What size & type of tubing & casing. BHP sizes, rodstrings, and squeeze holes. Have fluid levels shot and/or dyno’s done to make any other decisions prior to repairs. -Am very familiar with production zones in the NMC area that I’ve been involved in for 11 years (Mississippi, Chester, Oswego, Red Fork, Morrow, Misener, Viola, Inola, Boatright, Brit, and Hunton) -Research daily production numbers and WI to prioritize the payout and the return of repairs on down wells. Estimate job costs based off of down hole problem. Also while researching, see if the well can be put on plunger to reduce LOE since pumping wells have been the most money spent on repairs. -Pre job contractor and equipment setup, limiting down time hours while performing repairs. (WOR, hotoiler, hydro tester, BHP repair, rodstrings, tubing, BOP’s, fisherman, acid treatments, roustabouts, & other rental equipment). -Good communication with supervisor to change direction or just keep informed on progress. -Have fished and repaired rod parts, changed BHP’s, repaired tbg leaks, set bridge plugs, located csg leaks with packers and plugs, re-tube wells for plunger or flowing, re-tube and ran BHP & rodstring for new pumping unit installations. Recorded good information of what problems are occurring & what needs to be done at the time of next failure. (Acid cleanup, rod replacement, adding guided rods to reduce rod cut tubing leaks, chemical injection or batch treatments to reduce corrosion, paraffin, or scale problems, changing BHP to fit fluid volumes, and trash or gas locking problems). -Have supervised my first casing leak repair in April 09, additional supervision was needed when it came time to pump cement. Was a successful squeeze job, the well came back at 90% of the original gas sales. -Have supervised numerous swabbing operations on plunger lift and flowing wells, with and without compressors. -Have supervised numerous slickline operations on plunger lift and flowing wells. (Fishing plungers & BHA’s, broaching tubing, cutting paraffin, installing 2 stage plunger systems and single stage systems, checking TD, and bailing sand to uncover perforations). -Have supervised coil tubing unit to clean scale & iron sulfide out of a well to be able to run a ¼” capillary soap string. -Utilize vendors, contractors, supervisors, and my own experiences to assure sound decisions while performing or setting up jobs. -Make sure all contractors, operators, & myself work in a safe environment. (Used BOP’s every time performing a tubing job. Used a bird bath when necessary to keep fluids from spilling on the ground). -Have excellent well maintenance and operating reporting skills. Have used Excel, Microsoft Word, PERC, & Well View programs. My reports have been used many times as a “learning tool” for acronyms and the layout of the reports for assistant foreman, production foreman, and interns. -Kept track of daily costs on down hole repairs whether it be LOE or an AFE project. -Guiding & directing assistant foreman when they performed repairs on wells in my area. (Communicating by telephone or staying with them on location to answer any questions or make them more comfortable while in the learning process). -Follow up on production results after performing repairs or new installations by talking with the lease operators or looking it up on our production reporting system(PRS). PRODUCTION IN MY AREA -Watched over production numbers for 158 producing wells in NMC area, using PRS and by communication from 7 lease operators. Current production was 7200 Mcf/d, 180 BOPD, 400 BWPD. Objective was to keep production up, oil stock down, costs down, and keep up with safety & environmental rules and regulation. -Made sure all units were started on a weekly basis to obtain maximum gas production -Made suggestions to the lease operators on how to operate there wells more efficiently on a regular basis. (Off times, afterflow, what kind of plunger to run on plunger wells, cycles on intermitting wells, speed of pumping units, amount of chemical to inject, such as foamer or methanol, changing up soap stick or acid stick cycles, increasing or decreasing the RPM’s on compressors) -Strive for maximum production on a daily basis -Expect everyone to keep a “clean house”, locations, offices, yards & vehicles. -Done annual lease site inspections on wells in my area -Communicate problems with my immediate supervisor -Communicate & implement ideas for increasing production or reducing costs to my supervisor. (Installing compressors, plunger lift, pumping units, & commingling multiple zones). -Utilize vendors and attend oil & gas shows to keep up with the latest technology; (different plunger controllers, rod pumps, sucker rods, plungers, pumping unit engines, electrical controllers such as Variable Speed Drives) ________________________________________________________________________ RESPONIBILITIES FOR BUDGET -Was allowed $120,000 per month for LOE projects and maintenance, including work over jobs, lease operator expenses, and vehicle expenses -Updated budget weekly to make sure we didn’t go over budget in my area. -Was under budget on average of $16,800 per month since January 09, $201,600 average savings for 2009 in my area. -Approved invoices for the costs in my area. -Installed plunger lift equipment to reduce costs(Controllers, motor valves, chokes, pilots, etc.) -Used a tubing trailer to reduce costs for work over jobs vs paying top dollar for delivery of rods and tubing. Estimated savings per job $250 from utilizing tubing trailer. -Found the best prices for durable and efficient plungers to be ordering 20 or more at a time. 20% less per plunger by doing this. -Would set up several treatments at a time to reduce trucking fees. -Used the company alliances at all times available to reduce salt water rates & save on connections, valves, etc. -Sent Kimray valves such as back pressure valves, motor valves, pilots, separator & heater treater dumps in to be repaired instead of buying new valves. The valves would cost half the cost of new. -Started installing Baird BPV’s on vent lines instead of Kimray BPV’s because of the minimal components in a Baird valve, it has less components to fail and doesn’t cost anymore than a new Kimray valve.
