Daily Duties at Ibm:

* Setup and maintained secure file transfers between Windows, Unix and Mainframe platforms using Sterling Software's Connect:Direct and Axway's Tumbleweed software.

* Maintained Red Hat Linux, Solaris and Windows servers, installing and configuring software and operating system patches, managing userids and passwords, writing scripts to automate daily operations, managing public/private keys for SSH.

* Responsible for RFS (request for service) responses to project requests from the customer. Created a list of tasks and estimated hours per task required to complete each project request.

* Managed over two dozen long-running, highly complex successful projects by gathering requirements from the customer and their developers, then designing and implementing the solution.

* Responsible for audit issue tracking and closure for my team, resolving over 100 Sarbanes-Oxley related issues which the bank transferred to IBM on service commencement date.

* Provided 24/7 level 2 and level 3 problem determination and resolution for high-visibility severity-one problems for network, firewall, SAN, Solaris, Red Hat Linux, Windows server, Mainframe, security and application issues, providing root cause analysis to the customer.

* Managed my team's workflow, resolving customer issues and prioritizing tasks to ensure projects were completed before their due dates. Resolved over 100 Sarbanes Oxley audit issues.

* Implemented a change management policy to eliminate unplanned downtime.

* Restored good relations with other departments.

* Designed, implemented and automated a solution to migrate thousands of databases via secure file transfer to an IBM spin-off company.
