Daily Duties at Lane Limited:

SAP Basis Administrator 1999-2007 Responsibilities: • R/3 System upgrade from 4.7 to ECC 6 (Windows Server 2003 and SQL 2005) • HR system upgrade form 4.6c to ECC6 (Windows Server 2003 and SQL 2005) • R/3 system upgrade from 4.5b to 4.7 (Windows Server 2003 and SQL 7) • BW system upgrade from 3.0b to 3.5 (Windows Server 2003 and SQL 7) • R/3 system upgrade from 3.1i to 4.5b (Windows Server 2000 and SQL 7) • BW System implementation on 3.0b (Windows Server 2000 and SQL 7) • HR system implementation on 4.6c (Windows Server 2000 and SQL 7) • Designed and Implemented SAP DR Plan • Worked closely with business users, SAP, and other project teams such as SAP Functional teams, other consulting companies, Windows Server team, and Desktop Services to troubleshoot and resolve issues. • Performed Homogenous System Copy to Sandbox and QA systems to provide consistent data to the SAP Analyst and Test users • Refreshed clients across the landscape based on Analyst and user needs • Configured the transport management system in a 3-system landscape • Configured and designed SAP printers • Performed SAP kernel upgrade, support pack and SAP note application. • Performed and applied EarlyWatch health checks • Provided security support for R/3, HR and BW environments • Routine proactive monitoring and logging the system health to ensure the uninterrupted operation of the mission critical and supporting systems. • Tuning the database parameters as per the EarlyWatch report and SAP support recommendations • Planning and implementing the backup strategy for the Database and Application servers • Creating RFC’s and ALE between SAP Application servers and Administration of RFC’s • Configured SMTP mail distribution to mail server, background jobs and spool system • Configured Application server load balancing and operation modes • Configured profile Generator (PFCG) and assigned user authorizations, roles and profiles to user ids, setup security for the developers according to Business requirements • Scheduled background jobs (SM37), spool cleanup, dumps and batch input sessions • Locked all critical transaction using SM01 • Applied SQL server updates • Applied Microsoft Server updates • Involved in handling the tickets from the end users for the issues like Logins, Print and Spool problems etc. Environments: Microsoft Server NT4.0, 2000, 2003 and 2005, SQL Server 6.5, 7.0 and 2005, SAP 3.1I, 4.5B, 4.6C, 4.7, ECC6, SAP HR 4.6C, SAP BW 3.0B, 3.5, SAP ITS 6.40, SAP Solution Manager 3.0, 4.0
