Demand forecasting, purchasing and management of $40 million inventory of computer hard drives and NAS servers for this computer component distributor and storage manufacturer with annual sales of nearly $2 billion. Responsible for 15 lines including directing the activities of the purchasing representatives (buyers), demand forecasts, analysis and reporting of the inventory position, and development of policies and procedures to enhance line profitability. - Increased inventory turns by 5 to 30%. - Performed initial tests and assisted in debugging and transition to the i2 Supply Chain Management and Demand Planner software. - Negotiated return of more than $8 million of obsolete and end-of-life product.
