Daily Duties at University Professional & Technical Employees:
• HR~ Process all new hires and termed paperwork/documentation and maintain complete & updated files for staff & member staff. Design and maintain staff database • Inform all locals of their annual and updated Employee Labor Laws and Posters. Ensure that all employees’ benefits are enrolled properly, and research/negotiate open enrollment options. Maintain COBRA enrollments, deadlines and payments • Provide benefit counseling to employees, maintain and update all dependent forms, coordinate and conduct New Hire and Staff Training Events • Design and maintain Staff and UC Grievances~ improve filing system for all grievances, design database for tracking and reports, monitor grievance timelines, research postings options for web access working with IT for a password protection system, coordinate training for programs and be available for support. Manage all grievances from step 3 on, processing all arbitrator’s and reporter’s invoices for payment by the correct department • Office/Facilities Management ~ Design and maintain office systems, assure proper set up and ergonomics, maintain leadership database • Coordinate and maintain telecommunication systems/vendor relations, conference call vendors/access and logistics Maintain member’s access to all listserves & Grievance Manger Program, troubleshoot and communicate any difficulties with program. • Coordinate all office moves: floor plans, technology set up, telecommunication systems, equipment, filing systems, property management, parking, keys, information of new codes and office evacuation procedures, work with existing and new lease negotiations, coordinate moving crews and set up new office • Interface with Property Management Group concerning all office needs and negotiate contracts, troubleshoot office issues, maintain storage space along with recycling of archive files and research proper destroy dates • Travel Coordination~ Coordinate sleeping rooms/meeting spaces, schedules, materials and catering for Meetings/Trainings, conferences and other events, coordinate and run all operations for the annual Convention/Fundraiser
