Daily Duties at Stec:

Failure analysis of Solid State Disk Drives and Compact Flash disks drives and DRAM memory modules down to the component level. Interfaced with design engineering to resolve production and field issues. Developed Failure Analysis Reports (FAR) for returned SSDs and CF cards Presented the failure trends and summary of the findings to QA engineering and support the implementation of corrective action. Developed 8D (8 discipline) corrective action reports. Interfaces with suppliers to resolve any technical issues Participated in product validation for both newly-released and field products to help identify and prioritize design changes for product enhancement. Designed an I/O meter program using C++ to measure the read and write performance of the Compact Flash disks and secondary hard drives. Designed a Bit Flip Checker using C++ for detecting any incorrect bit in a given file. Designed a File Generator project using C++ for generating any random size file requested by the user.
