Daily Duties at Sony Electronics:
Lead efforts to upgrade Sony’s aging network and computer infrastructure. Redesigned & redefined IT infrastructure and standards for Sony to meet current and future needs. This included planning, acquisition, and deployment of Ethernet switching hubs, Cisco routers, Compaq Proliant servers, Sun Ultrasparc and Enterprise2000 servers. Helped to design and implement a network of computers and servers for multi-million dollar testbeds for Sony. Also, helped to design and implement an extensive firewall strategy for Sony SDC (CheckPoint Firewall-1). Provided senior UNIX and NT systems administration. Initiated IT process and service-level improvements, deployed call-tracking system, and drafted software and hardware standards.
