Daily Duties at South Wayne Police Department:

In charge of all aspects of police operations and administration, including staff supervision, scheduling and report preparation for the village board. I developed and instructed public safety and awareness educational programs. I provided field training to new officers in areas of patrol, traffic enforcement, report writing policies and procedures, community policing, officer safety, public relations and crime scene protection. I was a certified HAZMAT Instructor and provided inter-agency certification and recertification training according to Federal and State guidelines. I created new programs within school system to promote safety, increase awareness of dangers and educate about substance abuse. I performed criminal investigations, the enforcement of all laws, promoted and performed community policing, promoted public relations, performed patrol, report preparation, intra-agency informational gathering, court testimony and related duties.
