Daily Duties at Transportation Security Administration:

I Supervised personnel performing pre-board security screening of passengers and their carry-on baggage, implemented security-screening procedures that are central to TSA objectives. I conducted screening of passengers, baggage, and cargo through the use of X-ray machines, walk through metal detectors, hand held wands, physical pat-downs, and the use of Explosive Trace Detection equipment such as the Barringer, Itemizer and the Egis. I conduct and participate in informational briefings concerning security-sensitive or classified information. I conducted reviews and the training of screening procedures during shift pre-briefings. I assisted management with inquiries for information or investigations that may have been initiated against a regulated party. I also have the experience as a certified Senior TAI Instructor in areas of checkpoint, checked baggage, explosive trace detection operation and function, and CTX phaetons. I trained personnel and evaluated performances. I set and assisted in setting work schedules, set priorities, assigned tasks, monitored and evaluated job performance, provided motivation and coaching to personnel. I provided guidance on resolving technical problems, and maintained exceptional communication with management and other supervisors regarding issues that might have revealed a weakness or vulnerable areas of security screening that has been discovered in the course of screening process. I worked with a full team of transportation security officers, supervisors, and law enforcement personnel at the security checkpoint and airport security staff and management. I directed the work of subordinate employees. I facilitated the ICMS, Conflict Management Essentials, as a T3 Train-the-Trainer. I created and implemented internal recertification practical application courses issued to 74 Transportation Officers. I also assisted them in their final recertification held bi-annually.
