Included: Administration and Training Facilities, a Large Consolidated Maintenance-Engineering Activity, Public Safety, Emergency Services, 12 Maximum Security State Prisons, Schools, Hospitals, Transportation, Power Plants and Several State Operated Industrial Manufacturing Facilities. Provided Management Oversight for a Staff of 500+ Subordinate Managers, Engineers, Shops Supervisors, Mechanics, Technicians, Maintenance, Environmental, Safety and Security Personnel (7 Direct Reports). Directed Facilities Management, Planning and Engineering, Construction Engineering, Maintenance and Repair of Facilities, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC&R, MIS, IT, Electronics, Telecommunications, Biomedical, Industrial, Power Plants, Environmental, Safety and Security Systems. Directed Budget Management, Contracts Management, Purchasing, Inventory Control Programs, Maintenance and Materials Management for Multiple Facilities. Includes Capital Outlay Projects to $130M, Capital Improvement Projects of $4M-$5M, Maintenance Reserve Projects and O&M Budgets. Effected Savings of $28M+ in Public Funds through Value Engineering. Drafted Specifications, Directed Construction and Renovation of Facilities and Systems Improvements. Includes : Prison Security Systems (Access Control, CCTV, Motion Detection, Proximity Detection, Execution Systems, Electric Chair and Lethal Injection System), Fire Alarm and Fire Suppression Systems, Public Safety, Emergency Services, MIS, IT and IS Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and a Statewide Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Conducted Owner Acceptance Tests, Ensuring Compliance with VUSBC, BOCA, JCAHO, OSHA, EPA, VDEQ, NFPA Regulations and all National, State and Local Building Codes for Institutional Construction-Engineering.
