Daily Duties at Service Zone, Inc.:

I was a technical support representative for Gateway Computers. I serviced Gateway computer clients over the phone with any technical issues or questions they might have. I guided novice customers, step by step, through setting up their hardware and installing software. I helped users isolate specific problems with their systems and provided the best solution for their needs. The operating systems software used was Windows 95, 98, 2000 & Millennium. A secondary duty, I assisted other technical support reps with customer problems and inquiries the representative had difficulty with. Also assisted the shift manager with arranging schedules. Once had to explain to a customer that the flying windows on her screen was just the screen saver and all she had to do is press any key to make them go away. Fortunately she didn’t ask where the ‘any key’ was.
