Daily Duties at Army National Guard:

In this position I was part of the Phoenix Task Force communications maintenance team. We were responsible for making sure that all communications equipment was in top working order. This equipment allowed the Army to track and direct troop, vehicular and aircraft. The task force included multiple camps run by both U.S. and Coalition forces. Duties included installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and training on all communications equipment. Special Projects: • Assisted civilian contractors on laying and terminating thousands of feet of Cat 5 cable to provide networking and internet capabilities to new operation centers all around the camp. • Was assigned to a team supervising local workers entering the camp to perform different jobs to include construction, sanitation, and vending

What they like about Army National Guard:

Working in an organization that is technologically advanced, creative, and innovative is critical in your assessment of hiring companies. Less important to you are stability of the organization, the length of time an organization has been in business, and the business' plans for the future. You prefer a fast-moving company that will take risks to achieve its goals and objectives. The length of time the company has been in business is irrelevant. Maintaining status quo is unnecessary. You thrive on change, uncertainty and the upside of potential business risks, especially those associated with innovation. Stability for the long haul is not nearly as important as is working in an atmosphere that is charged with a sense of urgency and constant change.
