Daily Duties at Goldman Sachs:
Responsible for managing the firms Production/Qa/Development distributed and IBM mainframe systems globally. My teams which consist of 100+ personal are responsible for managing fault situations on over 30,000 servers and 10 IBM LPARS globally. It is my team’s responsibility to monitor and react to problems on the aforementioned systems and report critical outages to senior management. Follow up with clients on problem areas and work with them to correct repeated problems. Meet with my team leads globally on a daily basis to go over outstanding problems and work with them to improve service to clients. Meet with my project manager daily to go over ways to improve the efficiencies of the Data Center tools and processes. Also meet with clients on a daily basis to go over problems and issues.
