Project: Appraisal Management System (AMS) This system provides services to appraisal companies. It manages and tracks all orders for their customers. This application is an n-tier application with application server as middle tier and Java Web Server servicing the intranet requests. The back-end database was sql server 7.0. All the application logic is placed in the middle tier. The application server is used for performance and as a central repository of application logic. The database connectivity is achieved using JDBC. Also using database connection pooling to improve the performance. The presentation layer included developing HTML pages. Used JavaScript for client side validations. Have created EJB and Non-EJB Design to make decision about server architecture and overall application infrastructure based on our budget, specification and performance requirements. Environment: Java Server Pages, SQL Server 7.0, JDBC, Java Script, HTML, JRUN3.1, Java, TopLink server, UNIX, Linux, Perl, BizTalk Server, XMLSpy, XML, XSL, XSLT.
