Daily Duties at Ocean Media:

• Solely oversees television media campaigns for several advertisers which includes planning, buying and client services duties • Negotiates national cable upfront/scatter deals to get the best possible rates by communicating with network sales reps and up to the executive level if necessary and utilizing successful “kind yet firm” approach to achieve aggressive agency goals • Consistently meets budgetary, day part percentage and CPA goals set forth by clients • Strategic and creative thinker who can execute multiple projects under pressure while maintaining a strong focus on quality • Exhibits dynamic “yes we can” proactive team player attitude by volunteering to help other buyers, taking on additional clients, attending internal meetings to remain knowledgeable about all clients, and welcoming the challenge to negotiate new networks • Works closely with members of upper management by preparing media plans for Executive Vice President’s new business pitches, collaborating with Account Managers and company President for meeting preparations, and providing guidance to CEO during network negotiations. • Communicates daily with clients verbally in meetings or on conference calls and via intelligent, well-written, concise email correspondence providing updates and recommendations • Coordinates all aspects of network added value opportunities including negotiating the waiving of substantial production fees, acting as liaison between client and network, communicating script revisions and approvals, ensuring compliance with legal and serving as on-site brand advocate • Develops upfront network and budget recommendations consistent with client objectives and marketplace conditions • Prepares and presents power point presentations to internal colleagues and external client representatives • Natural leader with good communication skills capable of inspiring and influencing others • Mentors, trains and supervises media assistants • Adept at developing and navigating relationships with peers, clients and sales reps evidenced by proven earned trust and respect • Possesses comprehensive view of the processes and communication paths of the entire organization
