Daily Duties at M. Block & Sons, Inc.:
•Played key roll as member of senior executive team strategies plans for overall Company direction, establishment of goals, and tactics for achievement. •Directly responsible for all HR functions, including training and staff development. •Responsible for implementation of HR policies and procedures regarding federal, state and local laws, government directive and corporate policy. •Served as a link between management and employees by handling questions and resolving grievances. Investigation of several employees’ relation situations and conflict resolution. •Accountable for recruiting, screen applicants, testing, interviewing prospective employees and hiring employees. •Created job description for all positions in office and warehouse. •Created and executed an Injury and Illness Prevention Program for the Pacific Division. •Conducting yearly salary surveys and job analysis for all Pacific Division. •Write and administer all progressive discipline for Pacific Division. •Accountable for issuing bi-weekly payroll, 150 employees using Time Star and ABRA HR System and 100 temporary employees. •Manage and administered group insurance and retirement benefits for Pacific Division. •Conducted new hire orientation, process new hire paperwork, and provide proper training, workers’ compensation, termination and exit interviews. •Reduced workers compensation injuries down to only 3 injuries per year from 45 per year three-year prior. •Created safety teams, employee safety training; to observe, obey all company safety procedures and practices. •Overseeing security services and building security for the Pacific Division.
