What they like about Fast Serve Care, Access Care, & Sacramento Family Medical Care Clinics:

You give high priority to hiring firms with prestige. Market reputation and prestige of a firm may be determined through on-line research, and conversations with individuals working in your target industry. Note that firms "in the public eye" receive a great deal more critical publicity and attention than those operating with more anonymity. So as you assess your employment opportunities, be sure to seek out the positive aspects of the firm's reputation in addition to noting negative publicity the company may have received.

Climbers' Joblogs at Fast Serve Care, Access Care, & Sacramento Family Medical Care Clinics:

Connecting with patients.

It is a gratifying feeling, to see the connection register in your patient's eyes when they realize you truly get what they are going through. All I have to do is listen to my patients when they talk to me; ask them about their symptoms, how they interfere with their lives, what they are worried about and what others in their lives are concerned with? Patients will give you so much information, which you can use to better connect with others in similar situations. For example: instead of simply asking them the laundry list of routine questions, "Any weight change, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, depression, problems with sleep.....". I like to start by telling them what other patients have told me. "Other patients taking ...., complain of .... and ..... If they agree they are bothered by the same symptoms, I will sometimes follow with, "Some say they ....., and find it embarrassing, or ...... that they sometimes want to........, or their spouse is complaining about...... Patients realize that others are freely talking to you, and you are obviously listening. When I use this technique, I find barriers come down sooner and the patient and I can begin working in partnership. Though a little more time may be spent up front, it circumvents a lot of barriers to communication, difficulties with compliance and outcome, and saves you time and frustration in the long run.
