Southeastern is a manufacturing company that is also in the construction business. The firm manufactures millwork, cabinets, and solid surface countertops. Specialized duties aside from accounting- tracking change orders, attending scheduling meetings, maintaining controls in relation to projects. Responsibilities include management and negotiation of contracts with General Contractors, Government Entities, hands-on management of accounting and office staff. Senior financial executive with full accounting responsibility, collections, presentation of financial information, establish and maintain banking relationships, and arrange financing. Improved collections through consistent implementation of credit policies and professional collection procedures. Extensive exp. AP, collections, Excel spreadsheet use. Supervision and mentoring of assistants. Established a viable job costing system, credible method of retrieving cost information and collection. Established JIT purchasing, inventory management, moving toward LEAN manufacturing. Developed and published policies and procedures regarding operations, finance, and HR. Instigated open weekly production meetings to share information, encourage collaboration between departments, open forum on service quality. Absorbed new division, and new venture into the current software and data collection process. Provided accounting for new venture, utilizing NetSuite,(cloud computing) creating database from ground up, and installing data for inventory control, pricing levels, ecommerce, and eft payments. Manage tax audit, initially assessed, $135k down to $24k. Responsible for state and federal tax issues, real estate and property tax. Member of executive Management Team, advise owner in matters that affect the company and its aggressive growth, maintain stability of financial element and long range planning while keeping the balance sheet healthy. Increased line of credit to accommodate a great pace of growth, from $4 million to $8 million in revenue in one year. Interpret and manage construction contracts, establish process to adhere to contracts, and manage same, coordinate with general contractors, Roy Anderson, White Construction, W.G. Yates, Fountain, Harrell. Achieved key objectives to date, including:  Implemented budgets, with reviews monthly, job costing to pinpoint most profitable enterprise in manufacturing  Improved cash flow 20% by increasing use of credit lines and timely collection of accounts receivable, improved AP aging reports Bad Debt reduced to less than 1% through consistent collection policies and followup.
