Daily Duties at Ron Phares & Company:
I was responsible for the inspection, investigation, estimation, negotiation and final resolution of residential property and personal injury claims including governmental and self-insured entities. Types of claims include theft, third party negligence, fire, water, mold, flood and automobile. Complex claims were reassigned to me for further handling that included construction defect, serious personal injury or those files requiring property re-inspection and complex settlement negotiations. I was also selected to a team that acted as the immediate response personnel for all incidents involving Metrolink. I worked at Metrolink's headquarters on a biweekly basis reviewing (in house litigation files that were not assigned out third party administrators) and prepared strategy memorandum and status reports to defense counsel and management, as well as conducted interviews of claimants and witnesses. Lastly, I asked to assume the duties of V.P. of marketing in November of 2004. I successfully arranged to be assigned as a mid-west insurance company's adjusting firm for the Southern California region. Work flow was established in February of 2005.
