Daily Duties at University Of California San Diego:

Performed complex medical transcription from physicians at one of the nation's leading learning hospitals. Transcribed dictation of physician reports/correspondence; information on consultations, various medical tests and procedures; patient histories/examinations; and progress notes for a range of multi-specialty, renowned physicians at the largest teaching hospital on the West Coast. Gained extensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy & physiology, pharmacology/pharmaceuticals, and diagnostic testing and medical equipment. Gained extensive experience with hospital-based dictation, including consultations; physicals; case histories; operative, radiology, and pathology reports; discharge summaries; and transfer notes. Interacted extensively with a range of physicians in specialities that include Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Neurology, Ophthalmology, ENT, Nephrology, Pulmonology, Dermatology, Oncology, Plastic Surgery, Urology, Rheumatology, OB/GYN, Psychiatry, and Orthopedics. Consistently rated with outstanding performance evaluations of 98.5% to 100% accuracy; awarded three citations by management for excellent performance and perfect attendance.
