Daily Duties at Cascade Valley Hospital:

Supervised care partners, resource and help to new grad RN’s on staff. Cared for newborns to geriatric; fractures, abdominal surgeries, MRSA infections. 4-6 patient assignments included admissions and discharges, fresh post-ops, outpatients in for IV starts and blood transfusions or antibiotics. Lots of patient teaching and encouragement and motivation to pts as well as co-workers. Also frequently floated to mother/baby unit. Attended deliveries and admitted newborns, cared for post partum vag deliveries and c-sections, assisted new mothers with breast feeding and taught newborn and postpartum care. At Cascade Valley Hospital I attended staff meetings regularly and took advantage of their many continuing education opportunities.
