LinkedIn Recommendations

The following are recommendations written by developers in response to LinkedIn Recommendation Requests. These were extracted for your convenience and may be formally viewed on my LinkedIn Profile.

Paul Aldridge

Andy Davis
Product Architect, Eastman Kodak - Health Group (colleague) worked with you
“Paul was an amazing test engineer when I worked with him at Kodak (Carestream). He always took the time to understand how the product was supposed to behave and would thoroughly test products to that standard. His problem reports always included a great amount of detail. Even very difficult to reproduce bugs were almost always reported with the steps needed to reproduce the problem. On the few occasions where we couldn't determine the exact steps to reproduce a problem, Paul was a highly effective partner to help narrow down what might be the issue. Paul always kept his cool in the sometimes volatile relationship between test and development. Even when dealing with developers who were way out of line, he would always remain calm and collected. For a long time after leaving Kodak, I wondered what was wrong with the people that were testing the equipment I was developing. Finally, I realized that there really wasn't anything wrong with the other testers, they just weren't in Paul's league.” November 17, 2008

Wil Bloodworth
Senior Software Engineer, Kodak Health Group (colleague) worked directly with you
“Paul is, by far, the best QA engineer I have had the pleasure to work with. He is extremely reliable and thorough in his work. I also know Paul to be a, "come in early, leave late" worker and know that several projects succeeded thanks to his efforts. Paul is an extremely intelligent and, I believe, his skills far exceed what is expected of a QA engineer. During the five years I worked with Paul, I never knew a single person who didn't think very highly of him. Paul is a very pleasant individual to work with and I highly recommend him to any position as I know he excels at everything he does.” November 18, 2008

Kojun Hatta
Senior Software Engineer, Carestream Health (formerly Eastman Kodak Company, Health Group) (colleague) worked directly with you
“Paul is one of the best software quality engineers I have ever worked with. He is innovative, creative and thorough. He frequently thinks "outside of the box," and as a result has helped us release better-quality software. Paul also understands how to think like a user, and frequently uncovers problems that may have remained buried until after the release. He is also courteous, polite, and very hard-working. He would be an excellent addition to any team that wants to release a better product.” November 18, 2008

Thuong Van Le
Project Manager/Project Architect, Kodak Health Group (division of Eastman Kodak Company) (colleague) managed you indirectly
“I could always trust that Paul would go the extra mile and thoroughly test the subsystems that he was responsible for. Paul had the uncanny ability to find the difficult bugs in the system...bugs that often go undetected and not found by anyone else. He was able to do this because he worked tirelessly at his craft, took ownership in what he did, and always looked for ways in which end users could break the system. I would recommend Paul for any development team.” November 18, 2008

Michael Thenhaus
Senior Software Engineer, Carestream Health (formerly Eastman Kodak) (colleague)
worked directly with you
“Paul is a talented individual who is able to troubleshoot and identify tough product quality issues with enthusiasm. His documentation is excellent, his peer review contributions to work products of others are sought out for their insight and his thorough testing have all contributed to a high standard for quality by the organization. I recommend Paul for any organization that needs high quality software and hardware testing.” November 28, 2008

Liming Yang
Principal Software Engineer, Carestream Health (formerly Eastman Kodak) (colleague)
worked with you
“Paul and I have worked together for more than 10 years with multiple projects in Carestream Health, Inc. (formerly Kodak Health Group). He have developed expertise in medical software testing, covering all stages of QA process which is regulated by FDA, over the years. He works hard too. He is the best QA engineer I have ever worked with in my career. You can always count on him in a critical mission.” December 30, 2008

Wade Ledbetter
Sr. Development Engineer, Carestream Health (colleague) worked with you
“I worked with Paul quite frequently during my 7 years at Carestream Health/Kodak Health Group. I always considered him one of the top testers. He was very adept at learning the details of software functionality, and was able to find and isolate some very complex bugs. He would often go above and beyond expectations to insure only the highest quality product would be shipped to our customers. I'd be glad to work with him again, and highly recommend him for any position.” December 16, 2008

Michael Liles
Team Project Manager / Senior Integration Engineer, Carestream Health Inc. (colleague) worked with you
“Paul is a process-oriented worker and is very dedicated to the QA process. He will do what it takes in order to get the job done and is determined to ensure that the product that he is responsible for is tested and released with complete confidence. Paul is always pleasant and courteous to work with.” January 10, 2009

Patrick Stewart
Project Manager & Lead Software Quality Engineer, Carestream Health (colleague)
worked directly with you
“Paul was an outstanding member of our QE team. He performed exceptionally working on several projects where the requirements were extremely vague or non-existent where his role covered test lab equipment planning, test procedure development, testing, results documentation, and issue management. Paul has a great ability to dig into a problem whether big or small and determine the root cause from all of the sometimes misleading symptoms. On many occasions he was instrumental in determining the root cause to an intermittent problem across a system of interlinked medical device computers, leading to issue correction software updates. His technical ability to translate requirements into test cases, setup test equipment, and document in detail discovered problems is something anyone would love to have on their team. He is always personable, easy to get along with, and would be an outstanding asset to any development team.” February 11, 2009
