Daily Duties at Cermak Health Services Cook County Jail Women's Health:
In a Chicago county jail setting, participated in various gynecological procedures including breast exams with patient education, speculum and bimanual exams with associated specimen collections, wet mount identification of pathogens and subsequent treatment plans, STD education and contraceptive counseling. Observed colposcopy with biopsy, ECC and EMB. Participated in prenatal, antepartum and postpartum care of low and high-risk pregnant patients including NSTs, FHT assessment via Doppler, fundal height estimation and various time sensitive screenings. Also performed once weekly intake assessments of new arrivals to county jail and prescribed necessary medication and follow-up.
