Daily Duties at Firstar/Us Bank:
• Managed Elan Bankcard Merchant Services Operations staff of 15 people. Merchant Operations included call center responses to merchant (acquiring side) inquiries concerning electronic/paper deposit issues, merchant discount and processing fees, chargeback and copy requests. • Oversaw and implemented the transfer and conversion of bankcard paper merchant deposit activity to internal and external entities. This involved development of an action plan, reassignment of personnel, overseeing actual conversion process, and personally conducting the training of the operational areas responsible for the data entry and reconciliation process. • Implemented processing procedure that cleared 6 week backlog of written client inquiries. Received recognition in Firstar annual report. • Suggested and implemented procedure to clear stale bankcard transmittals that saved several thousand dollars within a six month period. Received cash award. • Managed Elan Customer Services call center and customer correspondence center for 2 years. Staff of 20 people. • Managed Elan Data Entry/Authorization center for 2 years. • Prepared budgets, initiated departmental goals, objectives.
