Daily Duties at Société Générale:

Manage multiple simultaneous projects for the Debt and Equity Finance division. Implement new pricing and reference data distribution methodology for SG NY Branch based on in house system developed in Paris utilizing TIBCO architecture. Changes impact 20 billion in transactions across all product lines including Fixed Income, Money Markets, Futures, FX, and derivative products. Require coordination, integration and management of teams in NY, Paris and Bangalore. Architect strategy and manage program for implementing the International Accounting Standard across transaction processing systems and drive implementation across multiple IT groups working directly with Front Office, Accounting, Operations, and external IT groups. Leveraged existing platforms, including TIBCO, .Net, Crystal Reports, Visual Basic, Perl, Sybase, on VAX, UNIX and Microsoft platforms. Developed mapping process utilized for regulatory compliance integration of Basel II processing. Responsible for all changes to Fixed Income, Money Markets, Derivative, Futures, Guaranteed Investment Contracts, Loan Sales and Trading. Manage cross-functional, cross-department teams up to 70 individuals for effort extending over two years. Troubleshot and restarted failing implementation and migration of Guaranteed Investment Contract Front and Back Office onto Summit Platform. Summit platform configured with a Sybase database, TIBCO as primary transport mechanism utilizing Perl and C++ for feed development and Crystal Reports for custom reports. Included FO capture of underlying GIC product and all related hedge and funding transactions which includes Fixed Income products, Repos, Swaps, Futures, etc. Redefined scope, deliverables, and developed manageable delivery plan. Rebuilt relationship with vendor. Rebuilt project team. Brought in to troubled Fixed Income outsourcing project to help evaluate project deliverables and chances for success. Oversaw complete revamping of QA process, developed multipart testing plan, engaged external testing firm to evaluate and sign off on testing process. Utilized Test Director, MS Project, MQ Series, and proprietary in house applications Founding member of Project Manager’s Community. Developed programs to help push best practices from PMI to Project Managers within organization. Assisted community members in applying organizational best practices and mentoring junior members from within the project management area as well as others in the IT organization to develop their skills.
