Daily Duties at Netflix, Inc.:

Overall accountability/responsibility for all aspects of DVD distribution Hub Operations including: Production, Facilities, Systems, Logistics, Materials, Health & Safety and Employment. Hands-on supervisory position. Supervision and problem solving of operations and workflow issues. Resolving day-to-day issues. Training employees on all aspects of hub operations (DVD processing, DVD inspection and cleaning, operating hub processing machinery) ensuring productivity of Operations staff: tracking and reporting production numbers on a monthly, weekly and daily basis to Regional Manager. Conduct safety meetings as outlined by Regional Manager and Human Resources. Provide a consistent message to employees regarding production goals and expectations. Manage the HR process (employee relations, workers compensation). § Opened Pittsburgh location in August of 2005. § Direct the day-to-day operations in the Pittsburgh location. § Train and hold employees accountable on achieving the company objectives. § Coach and redirect poor performers to reach company and location goals. § Maintain staffing levels to ensure successful operations. § Develop and maintain great partnerships with staffing agencies and internal business partners. § Transitioned Pittsburgh location from manual shipping process to fully automated shipping process. § Developed a self-sufficient staff that maintains cost, quality and service metrics. § Developed and have maintained a great working relationship with the Pittsburgh Post Office along with 2 previous shuttle post offices and 2 current post offices to avoid potential service failures. § Maintain key production numbers below company goals that include cost, quality and service metrics § Successfully moved the Pittsburgh location with little to no impact business § Retained over 50% of staff even with the location move of over 30 minutes away. § Currently manage and develop a staff over 28 people with the total staff number growing in the winter months to over 35 people. § Mentor new and existing managers to maximize their operational knowledge and overall understanding of our company culture. § Implemented and introduced employee incentive based programs at current location and successfully introduced the implementation at other locations. § Maintained one of the most tenured workforces out of all 58 locations. § Won 12 tri-fectas in a 3 month time period. (Controlled and met the goals in direct labor cost; wrong discs that go to the customer and customer reported unplayable discs.)
