Daily Duties at Vitas Hospice:

Counseling clients and family members of clients who were approaching death. Counseling clients who had recently lost a family member. Re-orienting clients who were experiencing significant memory loss due to Alzheimer's or other dementia disorder. Conducting Life Reviews and other coping activities with clients.

Software Implementation, rapid learning and adaptation, mediating, strong empathy, Extensive billing experience with Medicaid, FSPT, private insurance, and other funding sources, including acquiring pre-authorizations for services, Self-starter, setting own schedule to see all clients within required time frames with excellent compliance rate, familiar with Windows XP, Vista, and Mac OSX, Experienced in the following applications: MS Word, MS Outlook, Power Point, Photoshop, most web browsers (e.g. Internet Explorer and Firefox), some Excel, some basic html, Extensive training in child abuse and neglect, including physical, emotional, sexual abuse, medical neglect, and domestic violence, Trained in psychotropic meds, Strong knowledge of the children’s Dependency system, Strong skills in writing measureable tx plans, Writing thorough and well-written evaluations and assessments, Trained in Behavior Management methods, Significant experience in utilizing the DSM-IV-TR in the diagnosis process, Trained in verbal de-escalation ( “NAPPI”) and physical behavior management ( “TEAM”) techniques, exceptional logic and analytic abilities, Public Speaking, Data tracking and analysis, Moderate typing skills, Some Public Relations and Marketing, Organization, Working independently
