Daily Duties at Kindred Hospital Division:
Responsible for the clinical and administrative oversight of processes during the day shift for LTAC acute and chronic units. Staff supervision, patient assessment, auditing care, making rounds, ensuring compliance with multiple regulatory and corporate standards, significant interdisciplinary involvement, conducted meetings and trainings as needed. Competencies include Feeding pump, IV pumps, medication administration, narcotic, PRN, Electric BP, PCA Pump, Telemetry, Supervision of educational and disciplinary requirements for all RNs, LPNs and CNA’s. Facilitated all admissions and discharges. Coordinated effective use of personnel, supplies, equipment and facility; obtained medications and medical records to provide safe, efficient and therapeutic care to residents. Contacted physicians as necessary and ensured physician interventions are timely and appropriate; ensured appropriate documentation of resident care. Reviewed staffing patterns and census of nursing units; reassigned personnel when necessary to ensure residents needs and budgetary controls are met. Investigated complaints and took necessary action to resolve problems
