Daily Duties at J.L. Davis/West Texas Gas, Inc./Davis Gas Processing :
Natural Gas Accountant Primary responsibilities were to maintain and verify company nominations using communication software such as Hottap, Colorado Interstate, and others. Create monthly contract price report based on contract provisions and industry publications (Inside FERC or Natural Gas Intelligence). I assisted the Gas Manager in gas marketing, negotiation of gas sales, processing, and transportation of gas production. Gas Plant Accountant Responsibilities included interpretation, maintenance, and programming the terms of contracts pertaining to the purchase of Natural Gas. Types of contracts were percent of proceeds, contract administration, gas processing, gas gathering, residue & product sales agreements and gas balance agreements. Allocation of residue and liquid Products purchased from producers. Revenue distribution to producers and royalty owners based on contractual spot market prices and division of interest. Other duties included revenue account reconciliation, nomination of gas volumes, line loss, fuel loss, severance taxes, Texas and New Mexico taxes, account reconciliation, invoicing, plant balance report, Minerals management reports, preliminary plant income reports, division orders. Coordinating of revenue systems for two Gas Plants purchased during this period. Automation of plant spreadsheets for repetitive tasks such as producer payment statements, invoices, and imbalances using Macros. Developed a method using Macros, which elevated the need to key punch gas volumes into spreadsheets, as well as a method of transferring final producer payments from the spreadsheet into the main frame for revenue distribution to the owners.
