Daily Duties at Outfest:

I was responsible all aspects of Outfest, The Los Angeles Gay & Lesbian Film Festival: Development, Marketing, Programming, Operations, and Adminstration. Under my leadership we implemented extensive cuts in the 2009 fiscal year budget of over $200,000 to try to stabilize cash flow during a time of significant financial turmoil. The Outfest 2008 budget was $2.0 million and the 2009 budget was projected at $1.7 million. I managed the 25 member Board of Directors and 9 full-time staff. We implemented new development strategies focused on corporate sponsorships and enhanced individual giving strategies but continued economic distress in the non-profit and entertainment sectors dictated further cuts in 2009 beyond what was originally projected during the 2008 budget discussions.
